U.S. strongly condemns attack against AMIS base at Haskanita

The United States has strongly condemned the brazen attack against the African Union Mission in Sudan’s base at Haskanita and all acts of violence in Sudan that claims lives of innocent people.  A statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum called for an immediate end to hostilities and the vigorous pursuit of a lasting political settlement under the leadership of the UN and AU.

Red Sea State’s Culture Minister Gets Acquainted with Implementation of his Ministry’s Plans and Programmes


     The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in the Red Sea State, Dr. Tahir Mohamed Musa, held a meeting with the officials of the Ministry’s administrations, in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry, Mohamed Al-Hassan Shugrah.  The Minister got acquainted with the plans and programmes which are being implemented by the Ministry.  Dr. Musa stressed the necessity of coordination and cooperation between all the administrations at the Ministry so as to enhance performance.

 
Darfur in the Labour Party Conference
The anti-Sudanese campaigners have tried to manipulate the Labour Party Conference in order to further demonise Sudan over Darfur .  They have tried to get permission to screen an advertisement which must have cost a lot of money – not sent to the displaced but used in political spin! The advertisement was about Mr. Sadig Adam Osman.

Briefing UN Secretary General, Governor of North Darfur State affirms improvement of situations, readiness to receive hybrid operation .

unsec.jpgWali (Governor) of North Darfur State, Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir, highlighted the great achievements brought about by Abuja Peace Agreement, top of which is the stability of situations in Darfur region. This came during his briefing Wednesday to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, during his meeting with the Government of North Darfur State. Kibir attributed the tangible improvement in the humanitarian situations to the efforts exerted by the Government at the federal and state levels in collaborations with the International organizations working in the Sudan.
