Presidency meeting deliberates on progress of implementation of peace agreement
The Presidency held a meeting Tuesday evening at the Guest House chaired by President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir and attended by First Vice President of the Republic Salva Kiir Mayardit and Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha. Press Secretary of the President of the Republic Mahjoub Fadl Badri said that the meeting deliberated on the progress in the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement concerning the security and military arrangements, especially redeployment of the Armed Forces and SPLA north and south of the border of January 1, 1956. He added that the meeting deliberated on Abyei issue and the ongoing understanding between the two parties concerning the initial agreement between them on establishment of an interim administration till agreement is reached on a final solution. He pointed out that the meeting tackled current developments regarding the Elections Act and the draft submitted by the National Constitutional Revision Commission to the Presidency.

The participants in the Sudanese-Egyptian Investment Forum, that began session Tuesday at the Friendship Hall under the theme of " Towards an effective strategic partnership", called on the concerned authorities in the two countries to spare no efforts in completing the construction of the roads between the two countries.

Turkish medical delegation to visit Sudan |

A high-level Turkish medical delegation, headed by the Undersecretary of the Turkish Health Ministry, is to arrive in Sudan Thursday on a five-day visit to the country. learnt that the visit comes in the context of cooperation between Turkey and Sudan in the health field and the cooperation protocol signed between the two countries. The delegation will visit Neyala to start the procedures of starting work in the Turkish Hospital there, with a capacity of 100 beds at the cost of 35 million dollars. The delegation would also visit Juba to extend support to Juba Hospital.

Wali (governor) of Red Sea State Mohamed Tahir Aila received at his office Tuesday the visiting delegation of Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), headed by SPLM Deputy Chairman and Speaker of the legislative council of Southern Sudan James Wani, accompanied by Deputy SPLM Secretary General - North Sector Yasir Arman. The Wali welcomed the delegation's visit, affirming commitment of the government of the state to the partnership in the context of the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, lauding the continuous contacts between the SPLM and the National Congress in the state.
