Abu-Dhabi Development Fund has declared its agreement to contribute to completion of Merowe Dam, the heightening of Russaires Dam and implementation of the White Nile Sugar project. This was expressed by the General Director of Abu-Dhabi Development, Fund Ahmed Sari Al-Mazroui, during his meeting Sunday with the Minister of Finance, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz.
The minister discussed with the fund's General Director and the accompanying delegation a number of agricultural and industrial projects toward bolstering the economic partnership between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dr. Al-Jaz has praised the contribution of Abu-Dhabi Development Fund for the development process in Sudan at all fields. He affirmed Sudan keenness to cement its economic relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in accordance with the political will of the two nations. The fund's General Director, Ahmed Sari Al-Mazroui, affirmed the fund's keenness to contribute to the establishment of major projects in Sudan, especially completing establishment of Merowe Dam, the heightening of Russaires Dam and implementation of sugar projects. He appreciated the remarkable economic progress in Sudan, a matter that is encouraging to investment in the country. Meanwhile, the Sudanese and the United Arab Emirates parties signed a memo of understanding toward consolidation of the economic relations between the two countries, and boosting the UAE investments in Sudan.
