Assistant of President of the Republic Acquainted with East forces Camp’s Situation Assistant of the President of the Republic and Chief Commander of the East Armed Forces, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, accompanied by the Minister of Animal Resources and the acting Wali (governor) of Kassala State, Mohamed Salih Abid, and members of the state’s government have got acquainted with situation at the camps of the East Front Forces in Kassala State.
The Assistant of the President of the Republic addressed the East Front’s forces saying that he was visiting them to inform about progress of East Sudan peace agreement. Ahmed said that serious steps were adopted for establishment of the East Rehabilitation and Development Fund, in compliance with the wealth sharing protocol of the peace agreement, referring to the progress in power sharing file. He said that the security arrangements file was implemented by receiving the camps and carrying out disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of the East Front forces. Meanwhile, the Minister of Animal Resources, Mohaned Salih Abid, said that the East Front forces will play major role in the development and reconstruction process in east Sudan.
